Following its double-digit growth in 2008, the American Institute for Steel Construction program for fabricator certification grew another 18% and its erection certification program grew a whopping 39% in 2009 -- with similar results expected in 2010. AISC is now seeking a Vice President of Certification to help develop strategies to manage this phenomenal growth as well as to develop administrative procedures to better support the program. This dynamic and experienced individual will manage the department coordinating the program, hire the firm responsible for audit services, and coordinate with the committee responsible for developing the certification standards. A knowledge of certification procedures is less important than an aptitude for leadership, strategic management, customer service, and budgeting. The VP of Certification must be able to mentor a young staff and create a growth strategy to maximize participation and profits. The successful candidate will either be located in Chicago or be willing to relocate, have a minimum of 10 years of management experience, and have a solid working knowledge of construction or manufacturing industries. Company: American Institute of Steel Construction Location: Chicago, IL Expires on October 1, 2010 |
