Business Development Representative

Posted on March 4, 2013

How would a seasoned business development professional like you “promote” structural steel to key decision makers in the construction industry?

Think about it.  What would you be doing if this was your job?

At AISC, we think you’d be enjoying your days developing and maintaining personal relationships with key influencers, sharing information about structural steel with general contractors, listening to their concerns and coordinating your efforts with local construction trade associations.  You’d also be working closely with an AISC regional engineer, our Steel Solutions Center and members of the local structural steel industry to influence building projects to structural steel.

We know you’d welcome the challenge of overcoming roadblocks through your expertise in managing numerous high level relationships, juggling multiple tasks, and contributing your own creative approaches for promoting structural steel.

If you’ve been successful in marketing products and solutions to general contractors or have spent a minimum of 5 years working for a general contractor in the areas of pre-construction services, estimating or project management, we want to talk with you.

To be considered for this position, you’ll need strong people skills, the ability to speak and write clearly, computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM), an understanding of the unique role of each individual on the design-construction team, great organizational and time management skills, the ability to adapt, self-motivation and a strong drive for success. The ability to travel extensively is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field would be beneficial.

We are looking for three individuals who will be located across the United States in easily accessible locations.

To apply for this position, please send your resume and cover letter with your desired salary requirements to: HR@AISC.org
